Quick Creamy Salsa Chicken for Busy Weeknights

This Creamy Salsa Chicken recipe is an easy weeknight meal because it uses simple ingredients, comes together quickly, and still feels hearty and comforting at the end of a long day.

Ingredients
- 2–3 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 jar salsa
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings:
- shredded cheese
- cilantro
- avocado
- sour cream
Instructions
Place chicken breasts into a slow cooker or baking dish. Pour salsa over the chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook on low for 6–7 hours in the slow cooker, or bake covered at 350 degrees until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Shred chicken and stir in softened cream cheese until creamy and combined.
Serve over rice, inside tortillas, or over baked potatoes.
